I've never volunteered before. What happens at a door?+
Don't worry—we'll train you before we begin. New volunteers are paired with experienced team members until they're comfortable. You'll never be expected to canvass alone on your first day.
What neighbourhoods will we be visiting?+
Canvasses take place throughout Ward 23 - Scarborough North based on where conversations with residents will have the greatest impact. You'll always know the meeting location before arriving.
Can I volunteer in another language?+
Absolutely. We welcome volunteers who speak Punjabi, Arabic, Tamil, Mandarin, Cantonese, Urdu, French, and any other language that helps us better connect with our community.
Does door knocking really make a difference?+
Yes. Personal conversations are one of the most effective ways to reach undecided voters and encourage participation in local elections.
What should I wear and bring?+
Wear comfortable walking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing. We'll provide campaign materials and any supplies you'll need.
How much time do I need to commit?+
As much or as little as you're able. Whether it's one event or every week, every volunteer makes a meaningful contribution.
