A Personal Message
A message from John-Mark
Dear Neighbour,
I'm running for City Council because I believe Scarborough North deserves its fair share: its fair share of investment, attention, and follow-through from City Hall.
This community raised me. Our community is full of people who work hard, look out for each other, and ask for nothing unreasonable in return: transit that is on time, dollars that are respected, services that are delivered, and a fair share of what this city builds. These are just some of the things that I will fight for.
I grew up in Malvern. I went to school in this community, and I spent my evenings and weekends playing soccer and basketball at Horsley Hill Park and Neilson Park. When I talk about a late bus or a park that has waited years for an upgrade, I am not reciting a briefing note. I am describing my own life, and probably yours.
My commitment to you is simple: I will show up, I will listen, I will tell you the truth, and I will fight relentlessly for this community. I will be the most accessible councillor, available 24/7, by phone, email, or out in the community.
I would be honoured to earn your vote this October. I look forward to seeing you and listening to you in the community.

“Leadership isn't about making promises. It's about showing up, listening, and delivering results.”
Why I'm Running
Building a city that works for everyone.
Scarborough North deserves leadership that listens, delivers results, and puts residents first. My campaign is built around three simple commitments.
Better Local Services
Residents deserve city services that are reliable, responsive, and focused on the needs of our community—not delayed by bureaucracy.
A Stronger Community
Building safer neighbourhoods, supporting local businesses, and creating opportunities for every family to succeed.
Real Accountability
City Hall should be transparent. Every dollar spent should deliver real value for taxpayers and every promise should be followed through.
Core Values
The principles that guide every decision.
Integrity
Doing what is right, even when no one is watching.
Service
Putting residents before politics in every decision.
Community
Working together to build stronger, safer neighbourhoods.
Leadership
Leading with honesty, vision, and accountability.
My Journey
A lifetime rooted in Scarborough North.

Growing Up
Raised in Scarborough North
Growing up in Scarborough North gave me a firsthand understanding of the challenges and opportunities our community faces every day.
Community
Giving Back
From volunteering to supporting local initiatives, I have always believed that strong communities are built through service.
