Only individuals who normally reside in Ontario may contribute to a municipal election campaign using their own personal funds. Corporations, businesses, trade unions, organizations, federal or provincial political parties, constituency associations, and any government, municipality, or school board are not permitted to contribute.
How much can I contribute?+
An individual may contribute up to $1,200 to a single municipal candidate's campaign, subject to the rules established under the Municipal Elections Act.
How does the City rebate work?+
